Is the Spot Saver legal to deploy?

The Spot Saver can legally be used to deter parking in any standard, adjacent parking space, and is widely accepted to be used in an access aisle. The Spot Saver appears to cover the entire adjacent space. Are other pedestrians able to get around it?

The North American standard for parking spaces is 8.5-9’ wide. The Spot Saver 6 is designed to extend 6’ beyond the passenger side of a conversion van. Careful consideration must be taken when using this device.
